Fish and chips is a quintessentially British dish that comprises of deep-fried fish, usually cod or haddock, and chips (chipped potatoes). The dish is commonly consumed as a casual meal or as comfort food.

For The Batter:
- 4 tablespoons Corn starch
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Egg
- 1 Egg white
For the sauce:
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Chili Garlic
- 1 tablespoon Ketchup
For the chips:
- Potatoes peeled and sliced to your desired width.
- All Purpose Flour
Method:
Heat your oil on medium heat till the oil is hot.
Cut your fish into the desired sizes and dip it into the batter mentioned above and place into hot oil.
Do about 4 pieces at a time so you don’t overcrowd the pan.
Cook about 5 minutes on each side or till done.
Drain on paper towels
Now place the potatoes in the oil and fry till done.
Drain on paper towels.
For the sauce. Mix all the sauce ingredients together and place it in a dipping bowl.
Set your fish and chips with the sauce on a serving platter and enjoy.
