Marinade for the steak
- 1.5 lbs of steak cut in strips
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- Chili oil 2tsp
- garlic paste 2tsp
- thinly sliced ginger
- 1.5 tablespoon fish sauce
- Chili garlic oil to taste
- 2tsp brown sugar
Slice your steam in thin strips against the grain. Marinate the steaks with all of the above for at least an hour
Sauce
- 3 tablespoons tamarind paste
- Juice of 2 limes
- 4 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons crushed pied pepper flakes
- 2 shallots finely chopped
- 1/2 cup of finely chopped cilantro
- 2tsp brown sugar
