Thai Weeping Beef Lettuce Wraps

Marinade for the steak

  • 1.5 lbs of steak cut in strips
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • Chili oil 2tsp
  • garlic paste 2tsp
  • thinly sliced ginger
  • 1.5 tablespoon fish sauce
  • Chili garlic oil to taste
  • 2tsp brown sugar

Slice your steam in thin strips against the grain. Marinate the steaks with all of the above for at least an hour


    • 3 tablespoons tamarind paste
    • Juice of 2 limes
    • 4 tablespoons fish sauce
    • 2-3 tablespoons crushed pied pepper flakes
    • 2 shallots finely chopped
    • 1/2 cup of finely chopped cilantro 
    • 2tsp brown sugar


    • Make the sauce.
      Blendall of the  of the sauce ingredients together and pour it into a bowl. Setaside
      Grill the steak in some olive oil until it reaches your desired doneness
      Chop green onions and garnish 
      Make lettuce wraps by adding rice to the lettuce if desired 
      Add some steak slices and then the sauce and enjoy
