Kaju Katli
Ingredients
- 2 cups cashews
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tsp ghee
- Warak
Instructions
- Soak the almonds in a bowl for 1.5-2 hours.
- Drain the cashews and put them into a blender
- Blend it till you get a smooth paste
- Now add the paste to a pan and add the sugar.
- Mix well till it separates from the sides
- Stir constantly for about 15-30 minutes
- Now add the ghee and mix well.
- Once cooled, roll out this dough in between 2 sheets of parchment paper
- Careful add your warak to the top
- Cut into triangles and enjoy.
Instructions are a bit unclear.
-What do you set the heat on when you put ingredients in pan and then for duration of mixing time (low, med, high?)
-When do you add the cardamom powder? No mention of it in instructions
-when it says to mix 15-30 mins, how do you know when it’s done and to stop or keep mixing and cooking? Are steps 5 and 6 flipped maybe?
Thanks in advance, I hope to make this!
Also it says soak the almonds however only cashews are in the ingredients. I’m assuming this is a typo
Nice and easy recipe
